Hi, Everybody, the Pioneer Valley in Massachusetts is Amherst-Northampton-Greenfield-Springfield and surrounding areas. I am planning a meet-up to take place in Amherst, probably mid-to-late March. I plan to post an announcement here, but I’ve got a lot to do and that detail may slip . . . if you want to make sure you are in the loop you can join the “New England Aces Meet-up” or email me at [email protected].

1st Pioneer Valley Aces meet-up Sunday, Mar. 20, 2pm, Stonewall Center, UMass, Amherst, MA!

This is the first meet-up of a wannabe regular meet-up for the Pioneer Valley (Amherst-Northampton-Greenfield-Springfield, MA and surrounding areas). There is a Western Mass Aces group out of Amherst College, but it is only for college students. Come and be part of building an inclusive Pioneer Valley asexual community.

The Stonewall Center is the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Intersex & Asexual Resource Center at UMass Amherst. It is located in Crampton Hall in the Southwest area of UMass Amherst, 256 Sunset Ave., Amherst, MA. It is accessible by wheelchair and public transportation. (Note that the parking directions tell you to park in a lot that only has two spots dedicated to the Stonewall Center. You may also park across the street in Lot 32, shown on the map.)

At this opening meet-up we may go over statistics and FAQs concerning asexuality, introduce ourselves, discuss our preferences regarding future meet-ups, perhaps do an icebreaker game if there is interest, and socialize.

2nd Pioneer Valley Aces meet-up Sunday, April 3, 2pm, Stonewall Center, UMass, Amherst, MA!

– The 1st Pioneer Valley Aces Meet-up in Amherst, MA on March 20 had 4 aces in attendance (everybody away on spring break), and we decided to meet again Sun. April 3. The nominal topic is “Language to describe our experience”: what are the words we use to describe our feelings, our relationships, our “genders”, etc.? Pioneer Valley Jewish Film Festival Movie – “Once In A Lifetime” – Mon. 4/4/16

Meet me in the lobby of the Amherst (Mass.) Cinema at 6:45pm to see this “moving true story of Anne Gueguen, a dedicated history teacher in a French public high school, who changed the lives of her most troubled students through Holocaust education. Determined to give the best instruction to her underprivileged inner-city pupils, Gueguen enters her multicultural classroom in a national competition on the theme of “children and adolescent victims of Nazi concentration camps.” ”
