The word “and”

    In English “and” can be used like “but”, though there is a slight stylistic and semantic nuance. It’s completely unthinkable to do the same in many, probably most languages. In Slavic languages at least it sounds completely illogical 😀 I asked mom and German works like English in that regard, which doesn’t surprise me.

    What about the languages you speak?
