After more than ten years of knowing about other asexuals and asexuality, I finally looked into what demisexual meant about a year ago when I had an internet love interest. It was only then I understand what the term really meant. Before, I had thought it meant partially sexual. I didn’t know it meant being able to have sexual attraction to someone after getting to know the person and being emotionally attached to someone. I guess I fit that. Only problem is it’s all been online so I am still confused. I would like to have a real life relationship but so far, haven’t met the right guy. Has anyone faced a similar issue? How did it turn out? I am 34 and tired of waiting to find out how far things could go! I am tired of having no love or affection in my life. I have so much love to give yet no one to share it with.
