Anybody else here that was disappointed by the latest season? I felt like they had way too many “filler” episodes. 🙁
Then they had to cram the little bit of plot they had all into the finale.
    But man— that finale!!

I wasn’t disappointed exactly, but it was lacking something. I suppose it could be that it came after season 8 which I think is one of the stronger seasons so that’s part of it. But I definitely agree with you on the fillers. And a lot of them weren’t great fillers. They were good because they were Supernatural but they weren’t like ‘wow you introduced a cool new monster’

    But oh man that finale.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who was disappointed. Seasons 8 and 9 both were to me. The whole Sam and Dean fighting story line just got way too old. I really miss their connection and pranks and stuff like that. That’s what Supernatural used to be about, now its not and it just doesn’t seem as good to me.

    But I agree…man that FINALE

I was a little disappointed too. I kept waiting for it to get better and it really didn’t. I have trouble remembering what all happened in season 9 other than the Sam and Dean angst. There just weren’t many memorable episodes. But that finale. . .

Dat finale! It almost redeems the season. And I gotta admit, I used to be fanatical about watching every episode as soon as it aired and never missing a single one. Season 9 I must have left episodes to rot for a couple weeks before watching them, and there were 1 or 2 episodes that I just skipped after reading the summary online.

On a side note… They leaked (I think on their FB page) that Dean will be singing in a Karaoke bar in the next season- which I’m looking forward to.

Season 9 was definitely a hot mess, and really depressing. From what I’ve heard, some of the cast/crew didn’t like the direction that the end of season 8 was taking the show, so the writers had to scrap their original season 9 ideas and start fresh… and it shows. There were too many different conflicts going on, and some of them ended up with rushed endings in order to wrap everything up within the season (particularly the Abaddon arc). I really hope they have a better game plan for season 10, but based on what I’ve seen so far of the sneak peaks, I’m not too impressed or hopeful. I love the show, but the writers are going to have to earn back my trust.
