InactiveHere’s a place to share music that makes you feel good! Whether that be music that puts you in an upbeat mood, makes you feel like moving; relaxes, soothes or transports you to another place or you just plain old like it. If it makes you feel good in any way at all – post it! – no judgement here. Whether you’re feeling pretty good about life at the moment or life’s been hard – everyone wants to feel good – so let’s lift each other up and feel good! 🙂
Please post links to music on youtube, soundcloud etc. Preferably something that does not require an account to listen to it. There’s one rule: if you come here and don’t like the music – post something you do like. Have a great day wherever you are in the world!
I’ll start by linking to this track:

ParticipantHere’s the hippest tune to sing and dance to when eating ice cream, and no one dances so stylin’ like Dan Hick and his Hot Licks with the Lickettes. Diggit!

ParticipantLyrics to HAPPY HEARTS by Claudia Schmidt (above)
Some people can’t love from a long long distance
Some can’t love from across the room
Some people jump up in the morning to glimpse the sunrise
Some snap at the shades to let in the gloom
It’s a big enough world and it takes all kinds
The good and the bad and mostly the in-between
I love the people with the happy hearts
Oh let your heart danceThere are years that ask big big questions
And years to try to answer them all
There are times too scary for questions
When you tumble to your knees and you call
Old tired gravity can keep you weighed down
It can let yourself forget how to fly
I need the people with the happy hearts
Oh let your heart lieWell, you take it all in
See you where you’ve been
Let it all out againYou know the times you’ve been shamed into silence
When you needed most of all to be heard
You’ve had some lovin’ as sweet as a lemon
taking slow poison from a slippery word
No one has ever made a last mistake
Or bounced back one too many times
You owe yourself a dose of happy hearts
Oh set your heart freeWell, just take it all in
See you where you’ve been
Let it all out againThe only way you’ll end up in a corner
Is by walking in too straight of a line
The only way you’ll end up all alone
Is by refusing to give someone a sign
I’d rather feel all bad than just half good
Though I no doubt be both before I’m through
Bring all the people with the happy hearts
Oh let your heart singBring all the people with the
I love the people with the
I need the people with the

InactiveThank you for sharing everyone!
@danringill
Couldn’t get the Claudia Schmidt track to work in my country but have been listening to a few other tracks from her. Thanks for sharing.@julianvandal
I listened to this yesterday. Then last night woke at 3:30 in the morning with this stuck in my head, hehe. Very groovy!
@ladyace
I actually find this really mellowing. Reminds me of Cat Power.May 21, 2018 at 12:25 pm #30147Anonymous
Inactive@tgt18 “Make Me Feel” has a very heavy Prince influence and vibe, which is great! Since I LOVE Prince! It’s so good!
Another feel good tune though would be one from a band that’s a Melbourne local!
I think anybody could benefit from some chill neo-soul in their lives.May 21, 2018 at 1:59 pm #30148Diana
Spectator“Glory” by Dermot Kennedy
It’s technically a sad song, but somehow I find it very uplifting.

Solid choice! That lad has a great voice. I find a lot of sad music to be super uplifting personally, so that was great. :]

InactiveJulian:
I’m not that familiar with the music of Prince. (I’ve probably heard plenty of it before but not known who it was.) There’s a cover of ‘When Doves Cry’ that I really like: Quindon Tarver, When Doves CryDiana: never heard of Dermot Kennedy before but I like it, thanks!
