- Things I am looking for in a person are:
I’d love to make some new friends on here, but if you’re looking for a serious relationship, here’s what you need to know.
Gender is not a concern for me; first and foremost, I want an equal. A best friend who can support me when I need them, but who doesn’t let pride get in the way of me helping them as well. I’m new and a bit cautious when it comes to romantic relationships, so I need someone who will be patient enough to let me open up in my own good time. Humor my childish heart (I can be a downright goofball if I want to be), but treat me with respect when we shift to discussing serious matters as well. I’m certainly not perfect, and I don’t expect a partner to be either. As long as someone can listen, understand, communicate, and compromise, I see no reason why I can’t do the same.
- About me
I graduated from college and earned my bachelor’s in film (with minors in journalism and creative writing) in the spring of 2019. I have a part-time internship now as a videographer for a company that makes bins… I swear it’s more fun than it sounds.
In my free time, I like to hang out with friends, watch Netflix or YouTube, read, and write. My dream is to publish a book, then be a part of the team that makes it into a movie. I wasn’t super happy with The Hunger Games films when they first hit, it’s actually what inspired me to study film!
I collect hourglasses, love coffee, and enjoy critiquing TV series and movies. I have a weakness for books with maps, deckle-edges, and chapter titles. I’ll listen to just about any genre of music, but I most enjoy jazz, film or video game soundtracks, or “chillstep” when working—the absence of lyrics makes it easier to focus. When I am in the mood to sing along I like punk, rock, pop, and punk/rock covers of pop songs.
I could go on, but then where’s the fun in getting to know me? That said, I am a huge nerd, so it’d probably be easier for us to get along if we’re nerds for the same stuff. Here’s a handy dandy list of things that I’m into: The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Hilda, TMNT, Gravity Falls, Over the Garden Wall, Anime (Puella Magi: Madoka Magica is my favorite but The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is a close second), Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda, Voltron, Harry Potter (Hufflepuff here!), Doctor Who, and Studio Ghibli films.
That said, I love hearing people talk about their passions, interests, and what makes them happy. I don’t have a premium account, so if you’d like to chat, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or shoot me a message on Kik at AsexualofRoses (and thanks for reading that wall of text, you rock!).
