- Things I am looking for in a person are:
I’d love to make some new friends on here, but if you’re looking for a serious relationship, here’s what you need to know.
Gender is not a concern for me; first and foremost, I want an equal. A best friend who can support me when I need them, but who doesn’t let pride get in the way of me helping them as well. I’m new and a bit cautious when it comes to romantic relationships, so I need someone who will be patient enough to let me open up in my own good time. Humor my childish heart (I can be a downright goofball if I want to be), but treat me with respect when we shift to discussing serious matters as well. I’m certainly not perfect, and I don’t expect a partner to be either. As long as someone can listen, understand, communicate, and compromise, I see no reason why I can’t do the same.
- About me
I’m a student at a small university wrapping up my bachelor’s in film with minors in journalism and creative writing. In my free time you can find me hanging out with friends, watching Netflix or YouTube, and attempting to sort my thoughts into words that make sense on paper—you know, writing!
Aside from an open laptop, a warm mug of coffee (usually black) or cup of tea (two sugars) in one hand and a deckle-edged book in the other brings me comfort, television shows like Miraculous Ladybug and Hilda bring me joy, and researching the natural world gives me inspiration to write fantasy and adventure stories. I’ll listen to just about any genre of music, but I most enjoy jazz, film or video game soundtracks, or what’s been dubbed as “chillstep” when working—the absence of lyrics makes it easier to focus. When I am in the mood to sing along I like punk, rock, pop, and punk/rock covers of pop songs. I could go on, but then where’s the fun in getting to know me? That said, I am a huge nerd, so it’d probably be easier for us to get along if we’re nerds for the same stuff. Here’s a handy dandy list of things that I’m into: the aforementioned shows, Voltron, TMNT, Gravity Falls, Over the Garden Wall, Anime (Puella Magi: Madoka Magica is my favorite but The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is a close second), Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda, Harry Potter (Hufflepuff here!), Doctor Who, and Studio Ghibli films~
Talking to me is the best way to get to know me, so don’t be scared to reach out. I don’t have a full account, so if you’d like to chat, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or shoot me a message on kik at AsexualofRoses (and thanks for reading that wall of text, you rock!).
