Looking For
- Things I am looking for in a person are:
I’m really inexperienced when it comes to relationships. I’ll just put that out there right now. I spent the greater portion of my adult life believing that I couldn’t be someone’s partner because of my indifference to sex. I am only recently discovering that this is not true. But, if I were to imagine what would be important for me in a relationship, I think a deep underlying friendship is the most important thing. We need to like each other and like being around each other. I know that sounds dumb, but I believe that if there is a bond between two people that deep, that there isn’t anything that can break that relationship.
Also, about the whole gender thing. I don’t feel like I fit in a box labeled either male or female and so my view on who I would want to spend time with has nothing to do with gender. If we get along as two fellow human beings, why should anything else get in the way of that?
I’m always looking for new friends and people to meet, especially since we already have the whole asexuality ”thing” out in the open. I already feel like I can relate to you, and I consider us all in this thing together to be noticed, accepted and loved.
- About me
Hello there, I’m Allison. I discovered I was Asexual in April 2013 and have been on the road to self discovery ever since.
Music is a big part of my life; it sort of ”possesses” me every now an again because I’ll get a tune in my head and I can’t get it out until I’ve hashed it out on the piano. The next thing I know it’s 4 hours later and I sort of forgot to eat or do anything else. I like to play piano, cello, write songs, transcribe music and sing.
You should know I’m kind of awkward when it comes to conversations, I’ve found that I thrive in written conversation but I feel stupid and trip up on my words in person. For this reason I am very consistent in my pen-pal friendships. I LOVE to write letters, especially the kinds made from paper. Weird, right? I have a strange obsession with paper. I love to read, write, make cards and crafts….basically going to a craft store is my wallet’s least favorite place to be…second only to book stores.
I love travel and hope to live out of a big trunk suitcase and go from one country to another for as long as I possibly can. Until then, I’m all for the traditional life: Apartment, cat, job, coffee shops, book stores, shoe shopping and Netflix marathons.
And hey! If you’ve made it this far and you want to chat, here’s my email until I get subscribed again.
