- Ideal First Date
Did you know Melbourne has a pinball bar hidden behind a bookshelf? I didn't either until about three hours ago but now I really want to go there.
- Things I am looking for in a person are:
I’m a shy, aromantic asexual who just wants to find a close friend (in-person or online) with whom I can build a meaningful emotional connection with, while bonding over shared interests and hobbies. So basically, just somebody with whom I can duo-queue Overwatch arcade modes, binge-watch the newest season of Westworld, attend midnight Marvel premieres, go on spontaneous adventures to places we’ve never heard of, talk about life late into the dark hours of the morning or just about anything else you could possibly think of. After all, I’ve always loved trying new things (with the noteworthy exception of pineapple on pizza. Never again).
- About me
I’m a bit of a nerd, a part-time scientist, a soon-to-be postgrad (a pre-postgrad?) and a progressive/liberal Christian, saddled with an overly imaginative creative streak but not quite enough time to do anything with it. I’m can be passionate about a lot of things, including, but not strictly limited to, video games (PC and console both; honestly I’ll play almost anything), creative writing (which I rarely seem to ever finish), drawing (I finish these), tabletop roleplay (player and occasional novice GM), movie/TV binging (sci-fi, fantasy and anything Marvel has ever touched), reading (historical, sci-fi, fantasy and anything G.R.R.M or Brandon Sanderson have ever written), dogs (cats are cool too), science things (especially chemistry), history (modern and ancient), impulse-buying weird, nerdy T-shirts (jumpers too), spontaneous adventures (planned misadventures also acceptable) and finally, majorly overusing parentheses (okay, I’ll stop now).
Personality-wise, I’m a gentle, laid-back introvert who always tries to see the best in people. I can be shy and awkward around strangers at first but should quickly come out of my shell if you’re not altogether too scary. Also, it probably goes without saying but while I’m not very big on this whole sex and romance thing (although I’m perfectly fine with the occasional platonic cuddle here and there), I deeply value my close friendships and the emotionally intimate connections that can develop from them. Because good friends are awesome.
I don’t have a paid-account (and so can’t send messages), so if you want to adventure, chat, play video games, chat while playing video games, or anything else you can think of, send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. You don’t even have to live in Australia, as long as you’re fine interacting at semi-ridiculous hours.
