How do you stop friends and family from setting you up?

Just a few days ago, a group of guy friends took it upon themselves to set me up. I politely told the guy I am not interested in dating after he keep insisting on taking me out to dinner. My friends got offended I won’t give the guy a chance, even when I told them I don’t want to waste his or my time because I don’t want to date. What’s really annoying is when they insist they vetted him themselves because they had their “guy talk”…it’s like talking to a tree stumps…now I can’t even go back to my favorite bar
